What really happened at Roswell- did a spaceship really crash, are aliens working with goverments? Are UFO’s abducting people or do people just like to dream of being probed? Did Paul McCartney die in 1966 and then get replaced with a double, is that why I don’t like him? Did Elvis fake his own death? If he did why would he chose to die on the toliet? JFK and the grassy knoll, there are loads of conspiracy theories and I enjoy a conspiracy theory. When a band get really big, really popular maybe it is a conspiracy. Picture this one- a band comes out of nowhere and becomes hugley popular. They appear on MTV really late at night, with really slick looking videos. They sound good, get played on mainstream radio, sellout tours superfast, everbody loves them even Jimmy Page, Jimmy Page from Led Zepp! Just casually likes your band…does this happen? Well yeah it does if you’re Royal Blood. With their riff heavy album they charted at number 1 with their debut.
It has some good songs on there, but they are mostly the singles unsuprisingly, although I do think the closing track “Better Strangers” is worth a mention, one of the best tracks on there for me. The download code I got with the album doesn’t work, what’s the deal with that? -5 points, if I actually had a points sytsem.
Conspiracy nuts everywhere are loving this album, playing it backwords trying to find a secret subliminal message. The real question is how can they keep their facial hair so perfect while touring and how can any member of a band wear a baseball cap after Limp Bizkit and be taken serious?
