Can't forget the cards, or the soundtrack.
Here are another two episodes of The Moon Monkey podcast. Matt and I talked about legendary British heroin flick Transporting, all about drugs in Edinburgh, Scotland which is where we record. It's based on the Irvine Welsh book. It follows Mark Renton on his on-again off-again relationship with drugs in the early 80's. I kinda found talking about it tough because it's a pretty iconic film, with a really amazing cast. It's just a really great film, that still freaks me out in places when I watch it. It also has an awesome soundtrack. Always remember it gets boring without the cards!! Listen below.
The next episode was Tokyo Godfathers Directed by Satoshi Kon, ordinarily an animated Japanese movie wouldn't have been my kind of thing, it's just not how I'd spend my night off. But I gotta be honest after watching this I'm completely converted. It's a completely soppy christmas movie, but it just works so well and has some really cool direction even though it's animated. But if you're interested, hear what we thought about it below.
